Make way for another new kid on the block: Joey McIntyre has added a second boy to his brood.

Wife Barrett delivered son Rhys Edward McIntyre at 9 p.m. Sunday in Los Angeles, the singer’s rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. “He and his mom are both rock stars,” McIntyre, 36, Tweeted on Monday.

Rhys weighed in at 7 lbs., 10 oz.

McIntyre and Barrett, who announced the pregnancy in July, are already parents to elder son Griffin Thomas, 2.

Will the family continue to grow? “I think we have a deal to keep going until we have a girl,” laughs McIntyre. “That’s what my wife says.”

Here We Go Again, McIntyre’s latest solo work, is now available on iTunes. On Sunday, the singer will join the New Kids on the Block for a holiday concert in their Boston hometown.

Tuesday November 10,2009

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK star JORDAN KNIGHT is hosting an unofficial singing contest across the U.S. to give one talented fan his or her big break.

The singer came up with the idea of holding a ‘Jordan Idol’ competition to audition skilled vocalists while he was travelling across the U.S., working on his upcoming solo album.

He began filming fans who showed up outside his recording studio in Boston, Massachusetts and posting their performances on clip-sharing website YouTube.com, prompting more and more wannabe pop stars to flock to meet him at his next stop in Nashville, Tennessee.

He tells MTV.com, “A lot of fans showed up outside the recording studio, and I just went out there with a (video camera). I said, ‘Who here could sing? Maybe you could sing background on my record?’ And a couple girls sang, and I posted it up on YouTube.

“I want to have fun with the fans. I want to hear them sing, and who knows? Maybe there is someone out there who can really put it down (perform well), and if I have the connections to help them out, it’s kind of always been a dream of mine to help somebody out.”

Knight’s next stop is in New York, where he hopes to find a true star.

He adds, “New York is one of the entertainment capitals of the world, so I’m sure there’s a lot of singers here. They don’t have to have the perfect look, the perfect voice, the perfect moves – they just have to have something special. It’s hard to come by. I’m looking for ‘it’. ‘It’, are you out there?”

On US TV last night…

The Roots’ drummer Questlove aired his anger about Jarvis Cocker’s infamous Michael Jackson stunt as the former Pulp star performed on US TV last night.

Cocker, who famously invaded the stage during Jackson’s performance at the 1996 Brit awards, debuted new single ‘Further Complications’ on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon.

But his appearance on the programme angered Questlove, who, along with the other Roots stars, is currently part of Fallon’s house band.

In a message posted on Twitter, the drummer said: “Hmmm. Fighting the urge to get Jarvis Cocker for that MJ incident some years back.”

The 38-year-old added that Cocker looked “throwned” – an American slang term for drunk.

Cocker, who only appeared as a performer on the programme, caused controversy at the Brits when he made an impromptu appearance onstage behind Jackson.

The singer was questioned by police on suspicion of assault over the incident, but later released without charge.

During a recent appearance on the political panel show Question Time, Cocker said the stage invasion had been prompted by Jackson’s apparent decision to portray himself as Christ-like figure.

But when asked what he thought of the late singer as a performer, Cocker replied: “He invented the moonwalk.”

Seriously? This happened what 14 years ago and people are still upset over an incredibly intoxicated man taking the stage during a pop music award show and stealing the moment for a second? Jesus people get over yourselves.

joeys not following any of nkotb.

none of nkotb are following him anymore.

hes not shown to rehearsal in LA, even though he lives there.

people are freaking hes no longer in the band because of that. i dunno i think there other very private stuff going on and that (rightly so) he doesnt need to disclose to us unless he feels fit. i dont think theres a break and just going to wait things out.

seriously the tour needs to get started back up, because off tour discussion is nuts. lol. girls and their gossip. and the only reason why im even posting this because even the thought of joe leaving does make me very nervous, but i never even had thought of it happening. im weird like that.

Its a great little interview on how he and donnie are still best friends, even after all these years, how he feels about the reunion and more. best bit is this:

Q: Are you happy that you guys are back together? It sounds like it’s working out better than you even imagined. Are you looking to continuing to tour and make music for the foreseeable future?

A: I am beyond happy. This has gone beyond anything I ever imagined would happen. And we’re getting ready to start this next part of the tour, and I’m planning for my kids to come out, you know, a week into the tour and to visit for four or five days. I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that. And, you know, our hope is that we finish out touring into the fall and then take some time off and then get back together in 2010 and maybe make another record or do another tour or do something -  but definitely to keep this going.

That little statement has left me bouncing in my seat all day!!!! I know he doesnt say *where* these tours will happen, but he does say it will happen and after donnies statement after O2 it only makes me giddier that they are returning back here. i need smething to cling to!
